Sealed Bids for the supply and delivery of Itron Ert’s for the City’s Department of Public Works will be received up until 2:00 P.M. on December 4, 2023 by the City of Taunton Procurement Department, located at 15 Summer Street, Taunton, MA 02780, from only those Contractors eligible to bid and at that place and time shall be publicly opened and read aloud.

Bid Documents will be available on line at the City of Taunton’s bid portal on or before November 15, 2023. The City of Taunton bid portal can be reached at https://www.taunton-ma.gov/bids . You can also access this site by going to the City of Taunton web page, select BUSINESS in the upper screen, and then select BID OPPORTUNITIES. If you have difficulty accessing the bid portal please contact the Procurement Department at 774-406-5284.

A paper copy, should you want one, of the Bid Documents will be available at the Procurement Department, 15 Summer Street, Taunton, MA 02780 and may be picked up between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4 P.M. One (1) complete set of Bid Documents will be available to each Bidder. The recipient of the document will be required to register on the bid portal to facilitate receipt of addenda.

The award of the Contract or rejection of all bids will be made within thirty (30) days (Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded) after the opening of bids and no Bidder may withdraw their bid within this period of time. Bids may be withdrawn only if requested in writing previous to the opening.

The contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest total bid price for all required product. All Bids for the project are subject to the provisions of the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30B, § 5 Option. The City of Taunton reserves the right to waive any minor informalities, to cancel this bid, or to reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
