The City of Taunton, Massachusetts, through the Department of Procurement (“Owner”) is soliciting proposals to dispose of two (2) contiguous parcels of City-owned land:
Street Address: 395A and 395B West Water Street Assessors Map/Parcel: 92-339 and 92-340
Total Acreage: 3.83 acres (combined)
Assessed Value: $1,574,800 (combined) per City of Taunton Assessor
Minimum Proposal Price: None set – City anticipates fair offers be made
Copies of the RFP Documents will be available at the Procurement Department Office, 15 Summer Street, 1st Floor - Treasurer's Office, Taunton, MA 02780 on February 7, 2024 and may be picked up between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. One (1) complete set of Proposal Documents will be available to each Offeror. Proposal information and documents may also be found on the City’s website.
Sealed Proposals must be received by 2:00 P.M. on March 25, 2024 by the City of Taunton Department of Procurement, located at 15 Summer Street on the 1st Floor (Treasurer’s Office), Taunton, MA 02780, at which time all proposals will be publicly opened. Please ensure that proposals mailed to the City are delivered by the deadline. Proposals must be sealed and clearly marked “City of Taunton Proposal for Sale of Bacon Felt Property”. Fax submissions and submissions by electronic mail will not be accepted. No offeror may withdraw his or her proposal for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days after the date set for the opening thereof.
There must be one (1) original, four (4) copies and one (1) electronic copy of the proposal in an envelope submitted to the attention of Andrew Sukeforth, Director of Procurement, Department of Procurement, 1st Floor (Treasurer’s Office), 15 Summer Street Taunton, Massachusetts 02780.
The award of the contract will be to the most advantageous proposal from a responsible and responsive offeror taking into consideration price and all other evaluation criteria set forth in this RFP. The City has determined that this transaction is subject to the Uniform Procurement Act, M.G.L. c. 30B. Therefore, the provisions of M.G.L. c. 30B are hereby incorporated by reference in this Request for Proposals (“RFP”). The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to negotiate any and all non-mandatory contract terms with the successful offeror, or to cancel this procurement at any time if it is in the City’s best interest to do so.
