REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

The Town of Reading is seeking proposals from individuals and/or firms to provide an equitable community engagement process and project implementation around climate resilience as prescribed by the Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) 2.0 Program.

The Town of Reading requested and received funding from the MVP Program to conduct community wide engagement around social resilience and priority climate resilience projects. The community engagement process is to lead to the selection of a Seed Project that is to be implemented in later phases.

Before the awarding of the MVP 2.0 grant the Town of Reading performed a Community Resilience Building Process through a previous MVP Planning Grant award. This planning grant resulted in the deliverable of the local MVP Final Report and Risk Matrix. This Final Report can be found via this link: Reading MVP Final Report, June 2020 (PDF) .

This Request for Proposals and associated Scope of Services is meant to re-engage the community through the lenses of an equitable-centered, community-driven approach that revisits and reestablishes climate resilience priorities. The selection and implementation of a Seed Project is to be discussed by the working group.
