Description:

The Town of Nantucket, through its Town Administration, is requesting qualified bidders to submit applications for Miacomet Pond Dredging Design Project. RFP documents will be available online beginning on Wednesday October 26, 2022, at 5:00PM at http://ma-nantucket.civicplus.com/bids.aspx . Applications will be accepted until 3:00PM on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 Wednesday, December 7, 2022. The Town of Nantucket reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The Select Board must approve this contract.

Questions concerning this RFP must be submitted in writing before 5:00PM, Wednesday, November 16, 2022.

Miacomet Pond is a statutory Great Pond under the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a major public recreation resource on Nantucket. This project requires considerable planning, engineering design and extensive permitting. The process is expected to take at least six (6)months to complete, with permit approvals sometimes taking over one year to receive approval from the state following the submittal.
