The City of Fitchburg will accept sealed proposals for the lease of a parcel of land at the Fitchburg Municipal Airport, the aforementioned City property, which has been declared available and will be leased to the person or firm submitting the most advantageous proposal, in the best interest of the City, subject to the provisions of MGL c. 30B, and with the approval of the Airport Commission.

The Fitchburg Airport Commission seeks a responsible operator to develop a parcel of land located at the Fitchburg Municipal Airport for the purposes of pre-hospital care and transport services to ensure rapid and coordinated response of air medical services to the residents of Greater-Fitchburg, Leominster and Lunenburg. The Fitchburg Airport Commission believes an operation of this type and magnitude will complement current operations of the Municipal Airport and will support the mission of providing amenities that benefit the health and welfare of Fitchburg and neighboring community members.

The lease term is anticipated to be a 20 year lease with an additional 20 year lease at the sole discretion of the City of Fitchburg, and with the agreement of both parties regarding terms and conditions.
