The Committee will evaluate submitted SOQs based upon the identified evaluation criteria and will select those respondents it deems qualified. Only those respondents deemed qualified will be invited to submit in response to a detailed Request for Proposals (RFP) which will be issued in the second phase of the procurement process. The project delivery method for construction will be design-bid-build. The project team includes the Awarding Authority, Colliers Project Leaders serving as OPM, and SAAM Architecture serving as design firm.
The project includes approximately 116,000 gross square feet to serve as a public elementary school. The site of the project is 200 Bigelow Road, Fitchburg. The project consists of abatement and demolition of the existing Crocker Elementary School and construction of a new 2-story building containing classrooms, offices, cafetorium, media and art spaces, and gymnasium. Construction is expected to be completed within 24 months from the notice to proceed, with substantial completion in February 2025. The preliminary estimated cost for construction is $60 million.
