The City of Fitchburg invites sealed bids for tenant fit-out and interior renovations of 166 Boulder Drive space for the temporary relocation of Fitchburg’s Public Library. This is a rebid for the project which includes architectural work only. Associated mechanical and electrical work will be bid separately. Bidding procedures shall be in accordance with MGL c. 149.
SUB BIDS: Sealed bids from DCAMM qualified sub bidders have been received in the category of painting.
GENERAL BIDS: Sealed bids for the General Contract, from bidders who have been certified by the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAMM) for the category of work and the dollar amount of this project pursuant to section 19 of chapter 193 of the Acts of 2004. DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and Update Statement must be provided with the bid documents.
General bids will be received until July 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
Bid Documents and Forms may be obtained via the City’s website at

Complete sets of bidding documents shall be used in preparing bids; the City does not assume any responsibility for errors of misinterpretations resulting from use of incomplete sets of bidding documents of for modifications to the bidding documents including electronic conversion. Pre-bid walkthrough will be conducted by request.
Bid shall be addressed and delivered to the Chief Procurement Officer, City Hall, 718 Main Street, Suite 208, Fitchburg, MA 01420. City Hall is open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm on weekdays.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR BID PACKAGE DELIVERIES
: If the bid is to be dropped off in person, please go to the Purchasing Office on the second floor. Please leave yourself ample time before the deadline time to deliver your bid. Bids arriving late or left in any outside receptacle will be rejected and returned unopened.
BID SECURITY: Bid security in the amount of 5% of the bid amount must accompany each General Bid and each Filed Sub-Bid.
PERFORMANCE, LABOR AND MATERIAL BONDS: The successful General Bidder and sub-bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a labor and materials payment bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price, and of a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the Commonwealth.
The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
