The City of Westfield invites sealed bids for the purchase of as needed services for As Needed Sidewalk Installation Services. Specifications may be received at, and bids are to be sent to the Purchasing Director’s Office, 59 Court Street, Westfield, MA 01085, clearly marked on the outside of envelope: As Needed Sidewalk Installation Services – Bid #24-012. Bids will be publicly opened and read on November 21, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. Attention is called to the minimum wage rates to be paid on the work as determined by the Commissioner of Labor & Industries under the provisions of General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27G, inclusive. Federal Wage rates apply, payment of the higher must be made.

Qualifications:

Mass DOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as, Highway-Sidewalk and Curbing with an estimated value of $1,140,000 over will be required.” Awarding Authority reserves the right to extend the contract for two (2) additional 12 month options. Valuation for purposes of the MassDOT Prequalification is based on the first year times three (3) to arrive at the estimated total value.
