The City of Lawrence’s Office of Planning and Development (Awarding Authority) invites sealed bids for the Tombarello Site project in accordance with the documents prepared by the City of Lawrence and GEI Consultants.

Sealed Bids marked SEALED BID- TARGETED EXCAVATIONS – LOT 2 will be received until 10:30 a.m. June 29, 2023 at the City Clerk Office, 200 Common Street, Common Street, Lawrence, MA 01840, at which time they will be opened and read aloud in the City Council Chambers.

The scope of work includes: Removal and offsite disposal of asphalt; excavation and offsite disposal of hotspots containing extractable petroleum hydrocarbon (EPH) soil and with PCBs. The Work will be conducted as a Release Abatement Measure (RAM) under the provisions of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan and in accordance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Toxic Substances Control Act. Load, transport, and backfill with clean borrow material provided by the City. Borrow material is 4 miles from the Site.

A site walk is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on June 20, 2023. Interested bidders seeking further information about the project are encouraged to visit the site and submit questions by June 22, 2023 to the city’s purchasing agent.
