The City of Lawrence invites bids from MassDOT prequalified vendors interested in providing the following for the City of Lawrence, in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications outlined in the Invitation for Bids (IFB). A contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest total bid price.

MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as, Pavement Surfacin, for the project with an estimated value of $909,300.00 will be required.

CITYWIDE PAVING SERVICES CHAPTER 90

Bids from vendors are due at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 200 Common Street, Room #107, Lawrence, MA 01840 on or before 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

The City will not award a contract to a bidder who is not pre-qualified by MassDOT.

All bids submitted in response to this Invitation for Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid price and will be evaluated and awarded in accordance with the provisions established under Massachusetts General Law Chapter 30, §39M. Vendors will be required to abide by the guidelines established under this statute. This project is subject to Prevailing Wage Rates, MassDOT Pre-qualification and OSHA Certifications.

The City of Lawrence reserves the right to reject any or all bids or take whatever action is in the best interest of the City.
