ELIOT SCHOOL RTU REPLACEMENT PROJECT

The Town of Needham, Massachusetts, acting through its Town Manager and Permanent Public Building Committee, invites sealed bids from Town of Needham Pre-Qualified HVAC Prime Contractors acting as the General Contractor, and Sub-Contractor firms for the Eliot School RTU Replacement Project located at 135 Wellesley Ave, Needham, MA in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by GGD Consulting Engineers. Bidders can submit bids for this project in the following categories of work:

HVAC Prime Contractor (Prequalified)

Subcontractor categories: Built-up Roofing and Electrical. (pre-qualification not required)

A non-mandatory pre-bid walk through will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, 8 /3/ 2023, at the Eliot School, 135 Wellesley Ave, Needham, MA.

Scope includes the replacement of all four existing Eliot School RTUs during the summer of 2024. All work associated with the RTU replacement is to be substantially completed and the system fully operational by August 16, 2024. The Estimated Construction Cost: $3,300,000. DCAMM Certification is required.

Sub-contractor bids are due on 8/17/2023 and HVAC Prime bids are due on 8/24/2023 at the Public Service Administration Window, 500 Dedham Ave., Needham, MA 02492 until the deadlines at 3:00 PM at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the adjacent Charles River Room. Late bids and Email bids will not be accepted.

Wages are subject to prevailing wage rates as per M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 26-27H as amended. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids as determined to be in the best interests of the Town and to waive minor informalities.
