INVITATION FOR BIDS
IFB# 8294 McCarthy School Roof Replacement and Associated Work
The City of Framingham, through the Mayor of Framingham Massachusetts, the Awarding Authority invites sealed bids for IFB#8294 McCarthy School Roof Replacement and Associated Work.
The project is a partial removal and replacement (Phase I) of the current failing roofing system with a new single-ply SBS-modified bituminous roofing system (with a PVC alternative) for the Miriam F. McCarthy School at 8 Flagg Drive, Framingham, MA 01702. The work shall include temporary removal and reinstallation of roof equipment. The existing building is a (2) story educational facility of approximately 93,3429 square feet. The existing building is constructed of steel superstructure with masonry exterior walls. The roof framing is steel beams and bar joists with a metal roof deck and a cementitious structural deck. The heating system consists of gas boilers with exhaust fans and ventilation coils.
DCAMM Certification is required to bid on this project; General bid certification category is Roofing;

Sealed filed sub-trade bids for Plumbing must be received no later than Wednesday January 24, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. via the Vendor registry portal

Sealed General Contract bids shall be submitted in strict conformance with the bid document and will be submitted electronically through the City of Framingham’s Vendor Registry portal

**** A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Site Visit will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at Miriam F. McCarthy School, 8 Flagg Drive, Framingham, MA 01702 at the Main Entrance Exterior.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all submissions, to waive any minor informalities & technicalities, or to cancel the bid if it were in the public interest to do so.
