The City of Framingham is accepting bid proposals for Improvements to Mary Dennison Park. The park is approximately 15 acres of open land used for recreational activities including a playground, two basketball courts, a baseball field, and two softball fields, and both paved and gravel parking lots. The property is located at Beaver Street and at the intersection of Morton Street and Coolidge Street.

Proposed improvements include but are not limited to the removal and stockpiling of environmentally impacted material (soil/waste fill material) throughout the entirety of the park limits. Concurrent with soil remediation activities will be the replacement and rehabilitation of multiple sewer lines throughout the project area. This project will also make improvements to stormwater infrastructure as well as the restoration of the sloped embankment at Beaverdam Brook to the east.

The final park improvements consist of constructing a natural turf softball field, and two basketball courts and relocating and expanding the playground area. In addition, the new construction includes a new synthetic turf multi-use field, skate spot, fitness area, synthetic turf volleyball court, handball court, splash pad, support building and gazebo shelter, parking lot, paved walkways, and plaza spaces. Other site improvements include field irrigation, lighting for the sports fields, pedestrian walkways, and parking lot, security cameras, site furnishings, and passive and active open space landscapes.
