The City of Framingham (“City”) invites proposals from qualified firms to provide sealed proposals for The City of Framingham (the City) has been awarded a Brownfields Assessment Grant by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The grant allows the City to continue its Brownfields Program. The grant provides funding for Hazardous Materials ($500,000) as well as Petroleum related work. The intent of the grant is to update previous inventory work, conduct public outreach, and assess potentially contaminated sites City-wide with a focus on the south side and downtown area. The City is seeking a Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) to carry out tasks within its Brownfields Program.
The City is soliciting proposals for a QEP with proven expertise in environmental site and risk assessment, management plans, quality assurance project plans, groundwater and soil sampling, remediation strategies and clean-up, cost estimates and cost control, and community outreach and public presentations. Successful bidders will have demonstrated knowledge of general and area-wide planning issues particularly as they relate to brownfields redevelopment. Proposals must be submitted electronically through the City’s Vendor Registry system. Proposals submitted through any other means, such as mail, email or hand delivery, will not be accepted and will be rejected by the City as non-responsive.
