The City of Framingham invites responses to RFP #8246 Design Services Splash Play from qualified design firms to provide professional design and engineering services for the construction of splash play within the City of Framingham’s Cushing Memorial Park.

Cushing Memorial Park is a passive park offering 60+ acres of passive recreational use and open space. The City seeks to construct splash play enhancement in the park while complimenting and blending with the existing natural surroundings and aesthetics of the existing park. The City of Framingham desires the splash play to be of the highest quality with regard to design, construction, and usability. The constructed facility is intended to accommodate the widely varied demographic within the City of Framingham, including those with disabilities.

The City seeks a designer with demonstrated experience working collaboratively in a municipal environment to achieve desired outcomes. Services related to this effort are anticipated to include all required design and engineering services from conceptual design through final construction documents suitable for bidding. Bidding assistance, construction phase services, and project closeout may be considered by the city in the future. The selected designer shall report to the Director of Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs, or his designee, during the entirety of the project.

Bids must be submitted electronically through the City’s Vendor Registry system. Bids submitted through any other means, such as mail, email or hand delivery, will not be accepted and will be rejected by the City as non-responsive.

Bids shall be submitted through Vendor Registry and are due on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 10:00am

Proposers must submit two separate proposals:

One (1) for Technical

One (1) for Price

BIDDERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND A PRE-BID MEETING

Any questions relative to this request for proposal should be submitted through Vendor Registry by Tuesday , October 1 7, 2023, at 10:00 A.M.

If the question is one that the City believes would materially affect the Purchase Description, Scope of Work or Evaluation Criteria, an addendum will be issued via Vendor Registry and sent to all bidders on record as having picked up the Proposal.

The City reserves the right to reject any and all submissions, to waive any minor informalities & technicalities, or to cancel the bid if it were in the public interest to do so.
