The Boston Housing Authority (BHA) invites qualified real estate development firms to submit proposals under this Request for Proposals (RFP) for the disposition and development of the Parcel at 140-146 Lenox Street (Assessor’s Parcel No. 0901448010) in the South End/Roxbury neighborhood of Boston. The Parcel is a 3,812 sq. ft. piece of undeveloped land at the intersection of Lenox Street and Kendall Street. Although the Parcel is adjacent to the Lenox Apartments and other parcels, this RFP relates to the disposition of the Parcel only. The disposition of the Parcel will be by long-term ground lease of approximately 99 years, or other applicable instrument. The goal of this disposition and development is to preserve the Parcel as open space and to support the adjacent Lenox Apartments as an accessory parcel. This disposition and development will be completed without the use of scarce City, State, or Federal Affordable Housing Resources. Proposers responding to this RFP shall submit Five (5) copies, one (1) original, and one (1) electronic copy on a flash drive and/or CD-R media of their of their Proposal to: BHA Contract Office, Ben Liang, Director of Procurement, Boston Housing Authority, 56 Chauncy Street (Housing Service Center), Boston, MA 02111, on or before Friday May 12, 2023, no later than 2:00 p.m., by mail or hand delivery.
