The work of this contract generally consists of the construction of new water main in the City of Melrose. Approximately 1,600 linear feet of 8-inch diameter ductile iron water main shall be installed on Sewall Woods Road and Maple Road. Additive Alternate A generally includes an additional 325 linear feet of 8-inch diameter ductile iron water main to be installed on Sewall Woods Road. All water mains shall be furnished and installed with associated valves, fittings, and hydrants. Temporary bypass piping shall be used during the construction of the water main where specified herein. All service connections are to be completed after the water main successfully passes the pressure testing and chlorination procedures.Contract Documents shall be made available by contacting the DPW Engineering Division at 781-979-4172 or emailing jrosa@cityofmelrose.org. on or after 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
