Candidates are being sought for Reviewers for the 2023-2024 Grant Application Round of the Massachusetts Public Library Construction Program. Duties include review of up to ten applications individually, completion of an online evaluation form for each project, and to be determined number of site visits to assess deferred maintenance and confirm site option information. Attendance at a virtual training for online evaluation and at an all day in person group meeting is required. The review period begins June 3, 2024, and runs through September 12, 2024, with the virtual training to be held between June 3, 2024, and June 21, 2024, site visits to be held between June 22, 2024, and September 4, 2024, and a group meeting to be held between September 5, 2024 and September 12, 2024 at a public library in Massachusetts. The stipend is $125 per application reviewed and per meeting attended, which includes an allowance for mileage to the group meeting site. The stipend also includes $600 per day of site visits plus mileage within the confines of the border of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at $0.62 per mile. Total site visit days divided between the construction professional reviewers are not to exceed 15. Site visits to applicant libraries will be coordinated with the MBLC's Library Building Consultant and Library Building Specialist.
