MassDEP has entered into a MOA with the Cape Cod and Islands Water Protection Fund Management Board to support the funding of a comprehensive water quality monitoring program in the waters surrounding Cape Cod, during the 2023 and 2024 monitoring seasons. Pursuant to that statute, MassDEP is required to contract with a regional planning agency, institution of higher education or non-profit corporation to conduct these activities and has identified Cape Cod Commission as the most qualified entity
