The premises sought through this RFP will house an administrative office for VET. The mission of the Executive Office of Veterans' Services (VET) is to act as the primary advocate on behalf of all the Commonwealth's Veterans. As such, the VET secretariat is organized to perform advocacy efforts across numerous venues and events. One primary advocacy task is the undertaking of significant advocacy work with the State's legislative body, and the Governor's Office. In addition to the dedicated staff who primarily assigned the deliberate efforts to pursue needed legislation that supports the Veterans of our state, the Secretary of VET, the Deputy Secretary, the Chief of Staff, and the Legislative Director all attend business meetings, legislative committee hearings and Veteran recognition events at the State House. This office is expected to receive approximately 2 visitors per day.
