NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The Town of Natick, Natick Town Hall, 13 East Central Street, Natick, MA 01760 (“the Town”), acting through the Natick Select Board, invites the submission of sealed bids for traffic signal Work and Repair services for an initial one (1)-year term. At the sole discretion of the Town, any contract awarded will be subject to renewal for one (1) or two (2) additional one (1)-year terms. Prospective Bidders shall be prequalified in accordance with 720 CMR 5.00, “Prequalification of Contractors”. MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work Traffic Signals – Options for the On-Call Traffic Signal Maintenance/Repair Project, with an estimate value of $141,840.00 will be required. The awarding authority reserves the right to extend the contract for two (2) additional 12 month options. Valuation for purposes of MassDOT Prequalification is based on first year times three (3) to arrive at an estimated total prequal contract value. The estimated value provided in this Invitation to Bid is for one year. , between 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. local time, Monday through Thursday, and between 8:00 A.M. and 12:00 P.M. (noon) local time, Friday, beginning on February 22, 2023. Sealed Bids will be received until 9:00 A.M. local time, March 16, 2023, at the Natick Public Works Building, 75 West Street, Natick, MA 01760, at which time and place all bids will be opened and read in the presence of a witness. If the Procurement Office at Natick Public Works is closed due to weather/other emergency, the deadline for receipt of sealed bids will be extended until 9:00 A.M. local time upon the next business day that the Procurement Office is open. All Bids shall comply with the IFB issued by the Town of Natick, including, without limitation, Section 1, Instructions to Bidders, and Bid Submission Requirements. The Town reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any, any part of, or all Bids in the best interest of the Town. Any Bid submitted will be binding for thirty (30) days subsequent to the time of bid opening. Award is subject to appropriation and is subject to vote of the Natick Select Board.
