NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

The Town of Acton, Massachusetts, will receive sealed bids for the following contract:

Main Street Sanitary Sewer Extension Project

at the Acton Department of Public Works, 14 Forest Rd., Acton, Massachusetts, 01720, at 2:30 p.m. Local Time on March 7, 2024 and at that time bids will be publicly open and read.

Specifications and bidding forms may be obtained electronically from the Acton Department of Public Works/Engineering Division ( engineering@actonma.gov For security reasons, you must enable JavaScript to view this E-mail address. ) during normal working hours from February 7, 2024 until the expiration of the time for the filing of bids.

Bidding procedures are governed by Massachusetts General Laws (G. L.) Chapter (c.) 149, §44A, and G. L. c. 30, §39M, as applicable and referenced in G. L. 149. MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as Sewer and Water for the project with an estimated value of $1,514,653.38 will be required.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the date designated above for the opening of bids. The Contractor must comply with the all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

The Town of Acton reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities, as deemed in the Town’s best interest.
