The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Natick Division in support of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Soldier Center (DEVCOM-SC) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis to Laser Shot, Inc., located at 4214 Bluebonnet Drive, Stafford, Texas 77477-2911, under the authority as prescribed in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).

The requirement is for the purchase of M4 Simulated Recoil Weapons along with adapters and spare magazines. Laser Shot, Inc. is the only known vendor that sells the weapon alone. Other vendors require purchase of their entire specialized simulator training systems in order to get the simulated recoil weapons. Additionally, Laser Shot simulation weapons have components that have a precise match to our currently owned simulation weapons, as they use CO2 to create the bolt recoil that the marksmanship sensors require to track shots taken. No other manufacturer was found that sells only the simulation M4 weapon that exactly mirrors our currently owned equipment.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 333310 and the size standard is 1,000 employees.
