Description

GENERAL





1.1 Background





The Coast Guard is seeking to procure a replacement for the Automation PC 910 and software required to operate current Integrated Water-Jet system located at Industrial Production Facility (IPF) Boston. IPF Boston’s current system is degraded, and software is no-longer supported. The current Integrated Water-Jet, model number M3-2513B with serial number 30866 will require an upgraded SSD Controller Retrofit service and Ballbar Calibration for M3B-30HPbrid with a DWJ cutting head. Due to excessive cost to replace the waterjet system, refurbishment is required. Waterjet provides precision cutting required by IPF Boston.





1.2 Scope





The vendor shall replace the Automation PC 910 with a suitable replacement assembly for a Mach 3B with a DWJ cutting head that includes B&R 910 computer with Windows 7 64 bit. Upload new software to the replacement assembly within the current waterjet system. Vendor is responsible for supplying suitable hardware and software capable of returning the current waterjet system back online. Vendor shall ensure that the waterjet is fully operational and test the system before being complete.






  1. REQUIREMENTS








    1. Supply & Services







Supply required from Flow Shape Technologies Group: Computer Assembly for a Mach 3B with a DWJ cutting head, including B&R 910 with Windows 7 64 bit item 057687-2 or preferred replacement and Software S-1117-1. Preform all services needed to remove and install new hardware, update system with new software and test equipment.





2.2 Delivery Location and POC:





Location USCG IPF Boston, Boston MA:



The U.S. Coast Guard IPF Boston is located at 427 Commercial Street, Bldg 14. Arrangements for services shall be made with the Shop Supervisor: Gabriel Fragodt at (617) 223-3290. Delivery times shall be between the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday inclusive.






  1. ACCEPTANCE








    1. On-site Testing







Waterjet shall be operated through a minimum of three complete cycles of each cutting function required by US Coast Guard IPF Boston’s needs. If any cycle fails during testing, the defective equipment shall be repaired and retested.






  1. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE





The period of performance is fourteen (14) calendar days from date of contract award. If applicable, award of Optional Item is expected to take place within 3 calendar days of award of base items.
