INVITATION FOR BID
REMOVAL & REPLACEMENT OF VIRGIN GRANULAR ACTIVATED CARBON
The City of Lawrence, the Awarding Authority, by its Department of Public Works invites sealed bids from qualified contractors for the yearly removal and replacement of approximately 25 tons of virgin Granular Activated Carbon and the removal, reactivation and replacement of approximately 23 tons of custom reactivated Granular Activated Carbon for the City of Lawrence Water Treatment Plant located at 410 Water St. in Lawrence, MA. All bidding procedures shall conform to M,G.L. 39M, c.149, §§44A-L, and all bids are subject to minimum prevailing wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 §§26-27H inclusive. The work is estimated to cost $327,000.00 during a three-year contract period.
Bids will be received until 11:00 A.M., Friday, November 04, 2022 at the City Hall, Office of the City Clerk, 200 Common St. Room 107, Lawrence, MA 01840. Bids shall be clearly marked on the outside of REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF VIRGIN GRANULAR ACTIVATED CARBON. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit of not less than five (5%) percent of the value of the proposed work in accordance with M.G.L. c. 30, §39M(a), and made payable to the City of Lawrence, the Awarding Authority.

The City of Lawrence reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to reject any and all bids to make an award deemed in the best interests of the City.
