Description:

Sealed Bids for the General Contract for the construction of the Emergency Water System Interconnection between Attleboro and Pawtucket will be received by the City of Attleboro, Massachusetts at the office of the Capital Projects Administrator, Attleboro Government Center, City Hall, 77 Park Street, Attleboro, Massachusetts 02703 until 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 29, 2023 and at that time and in the City Hall Council Chambers bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. If at the time of the scheduled Bid Opening, Attleboro Government Center is closed due to uncontrolled events such as fire, snow, ice, or building evacuation, the bid opening will be postponed until 3:00 PM on the next normal business day. Bids will be accepted until that date and time.

Sealed Bids for the filed Sub-Contracts designated herein will be received from Sub-Contractor’s by the City of Attleboro, Massachusetts at the office of the Capital Projects Administrator, Attleboro Government Center, City Hall, 77 Park Street, Attleboro, Massachusetts 02703 until 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 15, 2023 and at that time and in the City Hall Council Chambers bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the installation of an above-ground prefabricated water booster pump station as specified and as indicated on the Drawings, including but not limited to the following: coordination of and connection to water main installed by others, sprinkler system for the prefabricated pump station, earthwork, concrete foundation pad, infiltration basin, sediment forebay and overflow, paving, site fencing and access gate, restoration, utility crossings, and all miscellaneous work and cleanup as specified or required to complete the work. The pump station shall be a pre-engineered, factory-built system complete with pumps, variable frequency drives, interior piping, valves, fittings, electric wiring, heater, lights, meters, flow and pressure monitoring devices, exhaust fans, instrumentation and electrical components, chemical rooms, and all else incidental thereto. The complete, fully factory tested unit shall be provided ready for connection to site utilities when delivered to the job site.

Qualifications:
In accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 44D, General Bids will be valid only when accompanied by (1) a current certificate of eligibility issued by Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance, showing that the General Bidder has the classification of Pumping Stations and a capacity to perform this work and (2) an update statement summarizing the General Bidder's record for the period between the latest Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance certification and the date the bid is submitted.

In accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 44F, Filed Sub-Bids will be valid only when accompanied by a current certificate of eligibility issued by Division of Capital Assets Management and Maintenance, showing that the Sub-Bidders have been certified in their particular Sub-bid category to participate on public construction projects and to perform the work required. The Sub-bid shall also be accompanied by a Sub-bidder Update Statement in a form as developed by DCAM. Any Sub-bid submitted without the appropriate certificate and update statement shall be invalid.

Special Requirements:
Each Bid must be accompanied by cash, bid bond, or a certified check on, or a treasurer's or cashier's check issued by, a responsible bank or trust company, payable to OWNER.
