Description:

The Town of Shrewsbury, acting through the Town Manager’s Office, will receive sealed, written bids in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 30B at the Office of the Town Manager, 100 Maple Avenue, Shrewsbury, MA 01545, to Furnish and Deliver One (1) Water Valve Cleaning and Exercising Trailer until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January, 3rd, 2023, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The Bid shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the bid item on the outside of the envelope and addressed to the Office of the Town Manager, 100 Maple Avenue, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.

The Town of Shrewsbury reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to cancel this IFB or to accept any proposal deemed by them to be in the best interest of the Town of Shrewsbury.

Qualifications:
Bids shall include the following documents:
1. Specification Sheet
2. Brochure of product, product manual or catalog clearly showing the product the vendor has listed in the Specification sheet.
3. Signed Bid Pricing Form
4. Certificate of Non-Collusion
5. Certification of Tax Compliance
6. Certificate of authority
Special Requirements:
1. Vendors must write "meets specifications" in each of the items listed and if there are any variations to the specification, it must be specifically listed next to that item. If any additional information is to be supplied regarding any items, the vendor should refer to the number beside the item and type their information on blank pages. Failure to respond to any item may be cause for the bid to be rejected as "non-responsive".

2. Vendors are encouraged to elaborate on any aspect of their machine not listed in the bid specifications but such explanations should be typed on a blank sheet of paper.

3. Inclusion of manufacturer's specifications will not be considered as a substitute for filling in the specifications. It is encouraged that the vendor's bid be supplemented by their printed literature.

4. Equipment bid must be new and unused and manufactured in after July 1, 2022, and be the manufacturer's latest model with all standard equipment and features.

Miscellaneous:
All questions by prospective bidders must be submitted in writing to Assistant Water and Sewer Superintendent, Joseph Kenney, at jkenney@shrewsburyma.gov by 3:30PM on Monday, December 19, 2022. An addenda with answers to all questions raised will be issued to the prospective bidders at the email addresses given by them, before 3:30PM on Thursday, December 22nd, 2022. All addenda must be acknowledged on the bid form.
