The premises sought through this RFP will house the office space for various Massachusetts Trial Court (TRC) departments. The Massachusetts Trial Court consists of seven Trial Court Departments and has approximately 6,500 employees at 120 locations. The Management Trial Court departments that will be located in Boston include the following: Judicial Institute, Office of Workplace Rights & Compliance (OWRC), Human Resources (HR), Facility Management & Capital Planning (FMCP), and Judicial Information Services Department (JISD). The premises sought should have space to group the various departments together but in separate suites that will share a common area. Additionally, each department will need space for the storage of records and other materials, conference rooms, huddle rooms and other collaborative work areas, a secure reception area, standard office floor-loading for file and storage cabinets, access to a building loading dock, and space for network printers/copiers. The Office of Court Management has extensive interactions and meetings on-site with outside court staff, vendors, and others. The preferred search area for the premise sought
should be in close proximity to public transportation (Commuter Rail and Bus Service), and in close proximity to a major roadway (Route 128, Route 90 or Route 495). This office is expected to receive approximately 10-20 visitors per day.
