22304 Materials Crushing Operations

Sealed Bids sought by the Town of Plymouth for the handling, crushing and stockpiling of recycled asphalt, sand, gravel, concrete debris and miscellaneous construction debris will be received in the Procurement Office, Town Office Building, 26 Court Street, Plymouth, Massachusetts, 02360, until 10:30 AM, Thursday, February 16, 2023, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Each bid must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of 5% of the bid. Such deposit shall be in the form of a certified, treasurer's or cashier's check made payable to the Town of Plymouth or a bid bond in a form satisfactory to the Town of Plymouth with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and conditioned upon faithful performance by the principal of the agreements contained in the bid.

Return of bid deposits will be in accordance with the provisions of the applicable General Laws. All bid bonds shall be retained by the Town of Plymouth unless accompanied by a stamped, self-addressed envelope.

The contract will require a labor and materials bond in an amount equal to 50 percent of the total amount of the bid with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will be required.

Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 and 27D inclusive.

All bids are subject to the provisions of M.G.L. c.30 §39M, and these Bid and Contract Documents.

The Awarding Authority is the Town Manager who reserves the right to reject bids, split awards, and waive any minor informalities and technicalities, if deemed to be in the best interests of the Town of Plymouth.
