The purpose of this contract is to renovate the accessible playgrounds at the Child Development Centers (CDC), School Age Care (SAC) and Youth Programs (YP) throughout the Department of the Air Force (DAF) in accordance with attached concept plan. Playgrounds are in acceptable condition and most of the installed equipment meets applicable criteria and are considered age and skill appropriate for the children expected to utilize these areas. The primary focus for the renovation is to enhance the total outdoor play environment through equipment and surface upgrades, repairs and restoration of any existing playground discrepancies. The majority of work involves the removal of specified playground equipment, existing flex surfacing and concrete foundations replacing it with new equipment and safety surfacing F). The contractor shall supply materials, equipment, machines, tools, appliances, services, supplies, and incidentals associated with the construction on Hanscom AFB, MA. In addition, the Contractor shall remain completely responsible for all deliverables in full compliance with the requirements of this contract. If the Contractor elects to do fast track construction, approval for any part on the design by the government does not constitute overall project approval. The Contractor shall be responsible for all conflicts that arise from coordination of design and construction.
