Contract Opportunity

The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Natick Contracting Division, in support of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Soldier Center (DEVCOM-SC) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis to Advanced Mechanical Technology Inc., located at 176 Waltham Street, Watertown, MA 02472, under the authority as prescribed in FAR 13.106(b)(1). The requirement is for Force Platform Systems.

The eight (8) force platforms with associated cables, a set of instrumented force plate stairs, and filler plate structure are needed to support biomechanics research collections in the new S2PRINT facility by expanding our current force platform area, and allowing for a flat traversal space area will be a cross pit design with option of moving force plates in the pit if necessary or adding to the area and removing filler plates to add more force platforms. Current design of platforms is specific in size, and must be able to work with our current AMTI force platforms in specific space requirements. Force plates required must be industry standard and not portable.

Advanced Mechanical Technology Inc., a small business, is the only known provider of the OPTIMA force platforms.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334513 and the size standard is 750 employees.
